THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for a Operations Trainer/ Facilitator, based in Stellenbosch, to join our Training team. This role requires frequent travelling between stores across RSA and Africa..
The primary purpose of this role is to upskill and equip our Hungry Lion store employees with the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours to fulfill their roles effectively; conduct observations for each person working in the store; schedule and train employees on operational, behavioural, and other identified programmes.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain expert-level knowledge of Hungry Lion operations, procedures, systems and strategy, in order to effectively train staff in stores.
- Compile reports for HQ on each store visit - this includes checklists, reports on observations and training recommendations.
- Communicate any potential training gaps quickly and follow up to ensure follow-through.
- Coach, guide and train store staff on customer satisfaction and store processes.
- Unpack and review the store success routines, identify gaps through training needs analyses and take ownership of addressing observed deviations and training gaps.
- Ensure that you are able to measure and assess all training interventions that are conducted, either by electronic or verbal assessments.
- Participate and contribute towards any learning and development projects that are implemented by Hungry Lion HQ and drive the success of these projects in the respective regions.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Grade 12 (or similar / equivalent qualification).
- Quick Service Restaurant Branch operations experience
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Flexible to travel frequently.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and outcome-based education principles.
- Train-the-Trainer experience/facilitation skills.
