ROLE OVERVIEW

The purpose of this position is to ensure that group payroll processes are administered and supported correctly and efficiently, to administer the payroll accounting process and to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on reconciliations and payroll payments.
 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end processing of group payrolls for review by the Supervisor and the Manager.
  • Supervise and assist payroll administrators with the end-to-end payroll process.
  • Review all payroll hours imported for monthly and weekly payrolls via UKG Dimensions.
  • Release all payslips via ESS portal as per payroll timelines.
  • Assist Payroll Supervisor with Group Leave Management Process.
  • Assist Payroll Supervisor with all Payroll Payments via First Management Services.
  • Responsible for all 3rd Party Payments and Bank Allocations.
  • Responsible for all Payroll Journal Process and Reporting to Finance.
  • Responsible for Paymenow Deduction and Reconciliation Process.
  • Administer all Payroll Queries via FreshDesk Portal.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting necessary changes.
  • Provide staff with maternity and termination documents.
  • Resolve payroll queries on FreshDesk Portal.
  • Assist with the monthly Group Tax Validation Process.  All mandatory master data must be up to date.
  • Assisting the Payroll Team with ad hoc duties and on-going projects
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
 

Essential:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • SAGE 300 People.
  • Knowledge and experience of African countries' payroll administration and payroll accounting.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Large payroll experience (5000+ more employees).
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft, especially Excel.


Desirable:

  • Experience using UKG Dimensions Workforce Management (Time & Attendance)
  • Monday.com experience
  • Working experience with Google Workspace.
  • QSR or retail branch network experience.​​​​​​​
