Role Overview
The successful candidate will support the execution and management of commercial construction projects and revamps within the Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) industry across Zambia. The incumbent will work closely with the Regional Construction Project Manager, and this role requires close coordination with contractors, architects, landlords, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are physically audited, delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards before they are handed over to the Operations department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections to monitor project progress, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects from planning through to completion.
  • Prepare project scopes, budgets, quotations, and resource requirements for assigned developments.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, landlords, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution and timely approvals.
  • Monitor contractor performance, project timelines, and material utilization to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Resolve on-site technical and operational challenges efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and stakeholder updates using company systems and digital platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and proper use of company assets.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Project Management, Building Sciences, Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Membership or affiliation with a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in construction, retail development, or project management.
  • Practical exposure to QSR or commercial retail construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively.
  • Fully paid up membership to relevant professional body e.g. EIZ, ZIQS, PMI
