A large stock holding needs an independent check that has nothing to do with who picked, moved or stored it. That's you. You own the cycle-count programme, verify what the warehouse team counts, and are the reason a variance gets investigated instead of written off on a guess.

WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

Design and maintain the ABC cycle-count schedule (A-items weekly, B-items fortnightly, C-items monthly).
Independently verify counts performed by the Supervisor's team during weekly cycle counts and the monthly full stocktake — never count a line alone that they also picked or moved that week.
Investigate all variances above the agreed threshold before recommending a write-off or adjustment.
Prepare the monthly variance report for Head of Warehouse review and sign-off.
Action stock record adjustments in the system only after Head of Warehouse approval.
Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged stock and flag for disposition.
Support periodic unannounced spot checks initiated by the Head of Warehouse.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Experience in inventory control, stock accounting, or stores administration.
Comfortable with stock/WMS system record adjustments and basic reporting.
High attention to detail and comfortable raising discrepancies with the operational team.
