Vida e Caffè is looking for a Food Specialist to join our team at our Maerua Mall store in Namibia.
The Food Specialist is an in-store role focused on preparing and serving our coffee, breakfast, and snack menu while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires strong food preparation skills, attention to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy store environment.The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people, and thrive during busy service periods. You should be enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about food quality and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare & Serve – Prepare food items such as toasted sandwiches, snacks, and breakfast items according to vida e caffè standards. Ensure all drinks and food are presented with consistent quality and care.
- Customer Service – Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take orders accurately, answer questions about menu items, and create a welcoming in-store experience.
- Quality & Efficiency – Maintain high food safety, hygiene, and quality standards while working efficiently during peak periods.
- Clean & Stock – Keep all workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked. Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures for food prep areas and equipment.
- Teamwork – Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent service.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or customer service (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
